What do I do next?
USAC will issue an FCC Form 471 Receipt Acknowledgment Letter (RAL) in EPC for each form that you filed and certified. The RAL directs you to review your form for accuracy and is also a mechanism for correcting any mistakes you have discovered in your review of the form.
If nothing needs to be changed on your Form 471, no applicant action is required.
If you need to correct any ministerial or clerical errors, cancel an FRN, or cancel the Form 471 completely, you can do so by submitting RAL changes in EPC. You also may add a forgotten funding request or even increase a funding amount using the RAL, but only if you have a substantiating document that is dated prior to the date you submitted your Form 471 (such as an invoice or signed contract).
Follow this link for a list of ministerial and clerical errors that can be corrected on the RAL.
This is a good time to make sure your school has an Internet Safety Policy that addresses all required issues:
- Access by minors to inappropriate matter on the Internet and World Wide Web
- The safety and security of minors when using electronic mail, chat rooms, and other forms of direct electronic communications
- Unauthorized access including "hacking" and other unlawful activities by minors online
- Unauthorized disclosure, use, and dissemination of personal information regarding minors
- Measures designed to restrict minors' access to materials harmful to minors
- Educating minors about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms, cyberbullying awareness, and response
